"As a man on earth": a documentary on the journey of African migrants through Libya into Europe
After the long and live path of "South of Lamopedusa" in which he told the expulsions of African immigrants from Libya into the Tenerè desert in Niger, now Andrea Segre, with Dagmawi Yimer and Riccardo Biadene realised "Like a man on earth," an Asinitas and ZaLab production. The documentary collects the testimonies of Ethiopians boys and girls, who survived the violence and traps of Libyan police. Since 2003, Canada and Europe are asking Libya to stop African migrants. But what is the Libyan police really making? What are thousands of African men and women suffering? And why all pretend not to know?
"As a man on earth" is currently in competition at SalinaDocFestival on the Island of Salina (Sicily).
