The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for
Educational Research (EMCER), which specialises in scholarly research
on education systems in the Mediterranean region, has launched its
new website.
The EMCER started off as the Comparative Education Programme in the
Faculty of Education at the University of Malta in 1994. It became
an autonomous Research Centre at the University nine years later.
EMCER sets out to further one of the University’s main goals—that
of becoming a pole of excellence in the inter-disciplinary study of
Mediterranean and European issues.
The website also gives free access to the Centre's peer-reviewed biannual
publication, the “Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies”,
now in its 25th issue.
