International conference "Performing Arts Training Today": Bovec, Slovenia, 24-27 October 2008
IUGTE (International University “Global Theatre Experience”) is the non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 2000 by a group of experts in the field of social science, culture and art.
The organization was established with the purpose of exploring the bridge between world theatre traditions and contemporary performing arts, developing international programmes, promoting multicultural dialogue, supporting the freedom of creative expression and tolerance through the acquaintance with the diversity of world traditions.
The city of Bovec (Slovenia) will host in October 24-27 the International conference "Performing Arts Training Today". It is a professional conference open to performers, performing arts educators and teachers from all over the world interested in the research of topical questions and processes in contemporary performing arts education and training. The main tasks of the conference are to demonstrate various methods and techniques in contemporary performing arts education and training, to open discussions about successful and effective strategies, to establish new contacts, to exchange experiences with colleagues from different countries and to lay the foundation for future networking and collaboration.
The programme offers practical workshops, performance fragments and presentations, with speakers and contributors from Japan, Russia, USA and Belgium.
