ASTIDE final event: European Parliament,
Brussels, 29 April 2009
The European Parliament will host in Brussels on the 29th of
April the Final Event of A.S.T.I.D.E., Art for Social Transformation
and Intercultural Dialogue in Europe, an initiative coorganised by
cultural centers of five different States: Next Kunst (Austria), deBuren
(Belgium), Cittadellarte (Italy), St.James Cavalier (Malta), Hangar
(Spain). The project was financed by the European Union, within the
Culture Programme.
Through this event, the organizers intend to share the perspectives
that were opened by the activities of the project with decision makers,
professionals and experts who all have more than a stake in the issue.
Participants to the meeting will be Members of European Parliament,
representatives of the European Commission, personalities and professionals
of culture and civil society.
The event will include the concert “Bauernhimmel IV” by
composer Anselm Schaufler, performed by the 14 musicians Ensemble
Zeitfluss, conducted by Edo Micic, the performance “Untranslatables”
by Christoph Schwarz, Yolanda de los Bueis, Elisa Marchesini, Sarah
Vanhee and the preview of the book, “Untranslatables - a guide
to translingual dialogue”, created within the frame of the AsTide
project.
The ASTIDE construction sites are realized with the participation
of Love Difference – Artistic Movement for an InterMediterranean
Politic.
