Futura. Changes and visions of the contemporary.
Miasino and Ameno, 22-23 May 2009
On Friday May 22 at Castello di Miasino and on Saturday May
23 at the Museum of Palazzo Tornielli in Ameno (Novara, Italy) will
be held the conference "Futura. Changes and visions of the contemporary”.
Protagonists of the contemporary, coming from different areas –
from the art world, anthropology, technological innovation, medicine
and psychoanalysis – will analyse the issue of the future, to
share experiences and pre-visions, in an occasion for inter-comparison
. The conference is organised by Asilo Bianco in collaboration with
the Department of Mental Health of Novara Hospital, which this year
hosted an art-therapy workshop within a course of art study and research
on this subject. The meeting aims to offer a reflection on the trends,
dynamics and the forms that tomorrow will characterize our society,
trying to delineate, from different perspectives, some paths of the
future.
Among the speakers, the anthropologist Marc Augé, formerly
Director of the School of High Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS)
in Paris, Eugenio Borgna, Emeritus Chief of the Department of Psychiatry
at the Hospital of Novara and Professor in Nervous and Mental Diseases
at the University of Milan, Alberto Castellanza, Area Manager at Asia
/ Pacific and Head of Novamont, Inventor of the Year in 2007, Juan
Carlos De Martin, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering at Politecnico
in Turin and Head of the Creative Commons Italy working group, and
Co-founder and director of the Nexa Center. Michelangelo Pistoletto
and Love Difference coordinator Filippo Fabbrica will also take part
in the conference. Subscriptions by Friday 15 May 2009.
