BJCEM: Presentation of the book and the DVD "Creative Mediterranean". Turin, May 16th 2009
Saturday, 16th of May at 14:45, at the International Book Fair of Turin- Lingotto Fair, the volume “Creative Mediterranean” will be presented to the public.
The book will be presented by Silvia Godelli, Councillor of the Mediterranean of the Apulia Region, and Luigi Ratclif, President of the International Association BJCEM (Biennal des Jeunes Créateurs de l'Europe e de la Méditerranée).
“Creative Mediterranean” is an editorial project realized by the BJCEM Public Theatre of Apulia, Apulia Film Commission, in collaboration with Arancio Publishing.
A book and a DVD to report through texts, images and videos what happened in Bari during the 13th Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean and also in Sarajevo, where in March 2008 in the frames of a workshop and a symposium, the discussions on the "Creative Mediterranean" was started. Materials and sources in the book are intended to give the reader a wide panorama on the Euro-Mediterranean creativity and to contribute to the reflections of cultural policies in Europe ad the Meiterranean.
The book offers contributions and essays by famous international intellectuals, cultural operators and artists: Franco Cassano, Thierry Fabre, Alessandro Laterza, Stefano Cristante, Laura Dyer, Nichi Vendola, Michelangelo Pistoletto and others. The DVD presents multimedia stories of the Biennial in Bari, through videos realised by MTV, media partner of the manifestation, by Apulia Film Commission, and the Cinema Academy of Enziteto, and a photo gallery realised with imagines by Margherita Mirabella. Moreover, a video of the introductory workshop, realised in Sarajevo in March 2008 by Gianni De Blasi and Pippo Mezzapesa.
The Biennial of Apulia 2008 was promoted by Apulia Region and by BJCEM and realised by the Public Theatre of Apulia.
