Biennale live: Radioartemobile broadcasting
Venice Biennale 2009, in streaming
From June 3rd to 22nd November 2009, RAM LIVE (Rome) in collaboration
Radio Cona obÄasna projektna radijska postaja za sodobno umetnost
(Ljubljana) will broadcast Sounds like Venice: a continuous flux of
radio broadcasts, on site audio performance by the Icelandic artist
Ãsdis Sif Gunnarsdottir and a multimedia blog by international
artists and curators which will gather the testimonies, sounds and
voices of world culture from the heart of Venice during the 53rd International
Art Exhibition, entitled Fare Mondi//Making Worlds//Bantin Duniyan
// Weltenmachen//Construire des Mondes //Fazer Mundos¦, directed
by Daniel Birnbaum. The project was born from a meeting between Ilari
Valbonesi, director of RAM LIVE - a research radio web which ranges
from reports on artistic events and interviews with artists to popular
music and field recordings, as well as historical archives, Irena
Pivka and Brane Zorman of radioCona (Temporary Web Art Radio Project)
- and the personal vocation of a site, Spazio Thetis, for the relationship
between contemporary art and technological research dedicated to environmental
themes, eco-compatibility and innovation in artistic forms and electronic
communication. Curated by Ilari Valbonesi, Alessio Fransoni, Luca
Vitiello, Steve Piccolo, Irena Pivka, Brane Zorman. Event partners:
