A mirroring catalogue for the six Medi-Terranean seas of the world. Michelangelo Pistoletto presents in Modena his aluminium artist book
Cittadellarte & Love Difference, in collaboration with ModenaCivic Gallery, join the Contemporary Day, launched by the Italian Association Contemporary Art Museums (AMACI). Saturday 15 October, 6 p.m., at Palazzo Santa Margherita in Modena, Michelangelo Pistoletto presents the artist book designed for the exhibition "Michelangelo Pistoletto and Cittadellarte. The table of the cultures ", which opened on September 16 at the Palazzina dei Giardini of the Civic Gallery of Modena. The volume, published by Fondazione Pistoletto Onlus editore and Edizioni Corraini, is entirely made of aluminium, a totally recyclable material. The book has been published in a limited edition of 700 copies; every copy is numbered and signed by the artist.
On this occasion, Michelangelo Pistoletto will explain his point of view on the role of art, on the issues of the relation between cultures, and on seas as places of transit and exchange: the same seas, that are represented in the exhibition by the six tables in the shape of Mediterranean seas.
