MADAD: Artists Movement for Social Peace. A call for participation
MADAD, Artists Movement for Social Peace, is a project by Sameh EL Halawany, general manager at Gudran Association for arts and development, a group of artists based in Egypt. It is an invitation to participate in forming an international artistic movement that uses art as a neutral land / last way for understanding different people. It is a call for Active participation by all who practice, support, taste or believe in Art and its importance as a last tool for dialogue and understanding among different people. It aims to work to contribute to international peace, by holding artistic meetings and workshops for all, and having artistic products within reach for all.
Interested artists and groups should send their cv, personal photo, 1 page concept paper about “MADAD” project idea, 2 photos or materials of their own works linked with “MADAD” project.
All the material which will be sent to Madad will be exhibited in Sameh El Halawany studio in Vermont Studio Center , Vermont, USA, from 13th September 2007 to 26th October 2007.
