Comincia il tour del progetto Cross Border in Libano, Israele e Palestina
Lo scorso 16 luglio, quattro artisti provenienti dall'area EuroMediterranea - Florence Aigner, fotografa, Belgio, Said Ait El Moumen, ballerino/coreografo, Marocco; Isabel Andreu Roglà, videoartista, Spagna; Secil Yaylali, artista visivo, Turchia - e la loro coordinatrice, Marianne Cosserat, Belgio/Francia, hanno iniziato un viaggio di un mese in una delle più complesse aree di conflitto. Viaggeranno in Libano, Israele e nella Striscia di Gaza Strip con l'obiettivo di indagare le possibilità offerte dall'espressione artistica come mezzo di interpretazione delle memorie di guerra, nel primo anniversario della guerra dell'estate 2006.
In ogni paese i quattro artisti incontreranno artisti locali, organizzeranno workshop con giovani e comunità che hanno subito gli effetti delle operazioni militari. Al termine del progetto, i lavori prodotti saranno presentati in una mostra internazionale che si sposterà dall'Italia alla Francia al Regno Unito nel corso dell'autunno-inverno 2007/2008.
I partner coinvolti nel progetto sono: Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures; Literature Across Frontiers (Regno Unito); Solidarité Laïque (Francia); Goethe Institute Beirut (Libano) e Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto (Italia).

The Cross Border Arts Project in Lebanon, Israel and Palestine Begins
On 16 July 2007, four Euro-Mediterranean artists - Florence Aigner, photographer, Belgium; Said Ait El Moumen, dancer, Morocco; Isabel Andreu Roglà, video artist, Spain; Secil Yaylali, visual artist, Turkey - and their coach, Marianne Cosserat, Belgium/France, began a month-long journey to one of the most difficult conflict areas in the world. They will travel to Lebanon, Israel and the Gaza Strip in an endeavor to explore the possibility of using artistic expression as a means of dealing with memories of conflict and war, on the first anniversary of the Summer 2006 War.
In each country the four Euro-Mediterranean Artists will meet local artists, setting up workshops with local youth and communities affected by the military operations in the area. At the end of the project, the produced work will be presented during an an international exhibition on the work of the Cross Border Arts Group, which will tour from Italy to France and the United Kingdom in autumn 2007 and winter 2008.
The partners involved in this project are: the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures; Literature Across Frontiers (United Kingdom); Solidarité Laïque (France); Goethe Institute Beirut (Lebanon) and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto (Italy).

NUROPE: Art in East, a Ljubljana (Slovenia) dal 18 al 21 ottobre 2007
NUROPE, l'Università Nomade per l'Arte, la Filosofia e l'Impresa in Europa (un'iniziativa del Parlamento Culturale Europeo con Åbo Akademi University e Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, in cooperazione con altri attori europei) presenta la sua seconda "spedizione" "From Visual to Performing Arts", a Ljubljana dal 18 al 21 ottobre 2007, in colaborazione con Ljubljana city Museum, Moderna Galerija, Irwin Group ed il Ministero Sloveno per gli Affari Esteri. Tema della spedizione sarà Art in East.
Per partecipare: il bando è aperto a studenti post-laurea, ricercatori, leader nella cultura e nell'economia, artisti, dirigenti d'impresa; registrarsi quanto prima per partecipare, posti limitati; il costo è di 150€ , copre le spese di partecipazione e i pasti, l'alloggio non è incluso.

NUROPE: Art in East, Ljubljana 18-21 october 2007
NUROPE, The Nomadic University for Art, Philosophy and Enterprise in Europe (Nurope is a joint initiative by European Cultural Parliament, Åbo Akademi University and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, in cooperation with other actors in Europe) presents its second expedition "From Visual to Performing Arts", in Ljubljana on October 18th to 21st 2007, in cooperation with Ljubljana city Museum, Moderna Galerija, the Irwin Group and Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Theme of the expedition will be Art in East.
How to apply: the call is open to post graduate students, researchers, leaders within culture and economy, artists of various fields and executives from different industries; register as soon as possible to secure your participation, limited seats; the fee of participation is 150€ , it covers participation and meals, the accomodation is not included.
