Gilberto Gil in concert at the openin event of Inner island: the art of survival: with Love Difference at the 51st Venice Biennale
Gilberto Gil will open on the 8th of June on the island of San Servolo the event curated by Achille Bonito Oliva Inner island: art of survival, bringing Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto and love Difference at the 51st International Art Exhibition at the Venice Biennale. With the event, according to Bonito Oliva, “Pistoletto accepts the idea of taking on an new identity, passing from individual to collective person in artistic creation, seizing the opportunity to transform San Servolo into a factory for ideas, above all in permanent synchrony with the international university already residing there (Venice International University)”. The opening will start at 7 p.m. - admission free - on Wednesday the 8th, with the presence of Ambassador Umberto Vattani, Secretary General of the Italian Foreign Affairs, Achille Bonito Oliva, art critic and curator of the event, Michelangelo Pistoletto, artist and President of Love Difference, Anna Zegna, President of Fondazione Ermenegildo Zegna, Giacomo Mojoli, Vice-president of Slow Food Italia, Marco Ciurcina, lawyer and member of Hipatia, Juan Carlos De Martin, head of Creative Commons Italia.
Brazilian Minister of Culture in charge, major representative musician of the Tropicalist Movement, Gilberto Gil will play starting from 7,30 p.m. for the public of the Biennale. The event will be broadcast live stream on the internet at www.cittadellarte.it thanks to a fully free software.
