Eighth edition of Art at the Centre: at Fondazione Pistoletto from July 14 exhibitions and events with Cittadellarte’s Offices and Love Difference
The eighth edition of Art at the Centre of a responsible social transformation will open on the 14th of July at Cittadellarte. This international event brings every year in Biella those who are interested in a new dimension of art, in relation with society, offering exhibitions, music, film and theatre shows, conferences and meetings, including Love Difference projects. 2005 edition bears the title Love differences: the exhibitions, open until November 15, will explore respectively the relationship difference-production (in the exhibition “Water: codex source of Biellese excellence”), difference-religion (“Space of worship” by Michelangelo Pistoletto), difference-culture (with the Love DifferenceTable, the mirroing table currently on display at the 51st Venice Biennale and at Sfeir-Semmler Gallery in Beirut), and difference-literature (with “living library – Turning point literatures”). Moreover, there will be a space dedicated to Geographies of change and Cittadellarte’s Offices, a display of all the international organisations, foundations, companies, public institutions working with Cittadellarte and sharing its mission, “inspiring and producing a responsible change within the society, through creative ideas and projects”. Finally, the permanent collection of Cittadellarte will be open.
The program of the 14th of July: opening of exhibitions at 6 p.m., jazz music performance by BJC – quintet starting at 6,30 p.m., buffet by Cafeteria, Cittadellarte’s glocal restaurant from 7,30. At 9 p.m., “Un filme falado” by the Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira.
