Cittadellarte at Winter Olympic
Games in Turin, Love Difference in Livorno and Palermo: events 8 -

Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto
goes to Turin’s Winter Olympic Games bringing a series of artistic
performances: works by Michelangelo Pistoletto will be exhibited (until
April 30) at the Museum of Antiquities in Turin, in occasion of Heroes
and Athletes: an exhibit, organized by the Ministry of Culture,
dedicated to the aesthetic ideal of the athlete from antiquity to
contemporary art. On the 17th of february, 11 p.m., the artistic performance
"Waiting for water" by Walid Maw'ed & Cittadellarte,
at Piazza Vittorio (near Vittorio Bridge). Finally, on February 20
at Casa Italia in the Valentino Castle, home of the main events of
the Olympic Games, Cittadellarte will present a didactic workshop
in collaboration with Castello di Rivoli on the theme of water, "Light
to tell water" (an action related to Walid Maw’ed’s
performance “Waiting for water”) and the concert "Zegna
Suit(e)" by Joe Cutler together with the video by Katia Kameli.
The Mediterranean Table - Love Difference by Michelangelo Pistoletto
will be exhibited from February 17 at the Rocca dei Normanni in Palermo,
as a side event of the conference on the Mediterranean Economy “Crossing
Mare Nostrum”.
Love Difference will also participate to the debate organized on Saturday
11 February in Livorno, at Associazione Fuoricentro, at the presentation
of the project Livorno Station, curated by Katia Anguelova,
Stefano Resting Boccalini and Alessandra. Livorno Station
is a "tourist guide", realized by a group of artists, architects,
urbanists, musicians, anthropologists, aiming to guide the "tourist"
through a non-official city, needing to be lived in order to be deciphered.
On February 10-11 at Fuoricentro twenty routes in Livorno will be
presented to the public, with series of conferences, artistic performances,
videoprojections, concerts, and livornese ponce.
