Mediterranean Literature Festival in Lucera (Italy), 21-24 September 2006
The fourth edition of the Mediterranean Literature Festival will take place on September 21-24 in Lucera (Foggia, Italy). Lucera is a town where different peoples succeded in domination, through the centuries: visitors can find it in architectures and on the faces of its inhabitants. Within the the historical buildings six writers will confront themselves on the selected topic this year: Time. Ibrahim Al Koni (Libya), presented by Isabella Camera d’Afflitto; Antonio Pascale (Italy), presented by Elisabetta Liguori; Ghjacomu Thiers (Corsica), presented by Emilio Coco; Maram Al Masri (Syria), presented by François Michel Durazzo; Raffaele Nigro (Italy), presented by Giovanna Zucconi; Petros Markaris (Greece), presented by Claudio Rossi Massimi. The Mediterranean Literature Festival is the occasion of an authentic and major exchange between the cultures of the Mediterranean. The stories and the experiences of life start the dialogue with the public while stressing out similarities and differences. This experience is enhanced by the intimate dimension of the festival which supports the direct relationship with the writers.
