Stateless Nation: at European Parliament
in Brussels an exhibition on the Frontiers of Citizenship by Sandi
Hilal and Alessandro Petti. January 29th - February 1st 2007
From the 29th of January until the 1st
of February the European Parliament in Brussels will host Stateless
Nation, an exhibition by Sandi Hilal and Alessandro Petti. Stateless
Nation is a long term research project researching and activating
projects in Middle-East area. It is an exhibition on the frontiers
of citizenship, investigating Occupied Palestinian Territories, the
new relations between territory, State and populations, and reflecting
the new meanings and implications of the physical and social space.
The project, which represented Palestine at the 50th Venice Biennale,
has been exhibited in Palestine, U.S.A., Italy, Egypt, United Arab
Emirates.
On the 31st of January, a collateral event: the hearing “Right
to enter / Re-entry” with Mashhour Abudaka, Charles Shamas,
Muriel Van den Abbeele, discussine the issues arising from the restrictions
set by the State of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.
