Methods 2007 at Nurope’s Oasis in
Biella: on February 10th and 12th at Cittadellarte a workshop curated
by F. Fabbrica, J. Sandoval, I. Valz
As we announced in LDN#59, Cittadellarte
– Fondazione Pistoletto will host from 9 to 12 of February the
second Oasis of Nurope, the Nomadic University for Art, Philosophy
and Enterprise in Europe. Among the scheduled activities, on th 10th
and 12th of February, the third edition of “Methods”,
international workshop research projects on art-society relations.
The workshop concerns a survey of the methods and projects developed
through artistic processes aiming towards responsible transformation
of society. Participants: Gudran Association for arts and development,
a group of artists including painters, musicians, artists of theatre
and cinema makers, who realised in El-Max region (Egypt) a series
of activities using art as an introduction to development, involving
fishermen from Nile’s banks. Stalker Osservatorio Nomade, based
in Rome, is a creative research network composed of artists, architects,
and researchers of various disciplines from all over the world; they
experiment a collaborative and creative practice for researching and
acting, based on collaboration, multi-disciplinarity, respect of differences,
conviviality and game. Tal Adler, photographer, artist, teacher and
social-political activist, author of the Unrecognized project developed
with Love Difference in 2003 to trigger a social change for the Bedouin
villages unrecognized by the State of Israel.
Methods workshop is curated by Filippo Fabbrica (Love Difference),
Juan E. Sandoval (Cittadellarte), Ingrid Valz (University of Ideas).
