ReMida Carnival: Saturday 17 February 2007 opening of ReMida Biella, the Center for Creative Recycling
Masks and fancy dresses will give new life to industrial discarded materials from factories of Biella area. At ReMida Center in Biella on the 17th of February any discarded items from industrial production will become precious materials to create unexpected fancy dresses and original masks to be worn in the Great Carnival Parade.
That will be the official opening of ReMida Biella within Cittadellarte, which is founding member of the Center together with cultural operators Giulia Chiaberge and Sylvie Calmon. The event will start at 2,30 p.m., with creative workshops for children and adults. Fancy dresses, masks and accessories will be created by using materials from ReMida Center, coming from the industrial production of participating factories. ReMida Center, like Cittadellarte, stimulates commitment and responsibility through creativity.
During the opening participant will have the opportunity to register in the Center, obtaining the right to take the materials from the stock; ReMida will also organise workshops, educational programs, and events for teachers and cultural operators, introducing a special program on the 27th of February.
