Europoly in Istanbul: Dejan Kaludjerovic's
installation at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University from the 26th
until the 30th of March 2007
On the 26th of March Dejan Kaludjerovic's Europoly project
will be presented in Istanbul, thanks to the initiative of Love Difference
and the contribute of the Beral Madra Contemporary Art Centre and
Europist. On that occasion, The Osman Hamdi Salon of the Mimar Sinan
University will be transformed in the big game Europoly, installation
based on the theme of the European identity.
The opening will be followed by a round-table, that will take place
on March 28th 2007 at DOT Theatre of Istanbul on the occasion of DOT
meetings for World Theaters Day, inviting important guests from the
artistic and cultural Turkish scene, and focusing on the theme of
art as critical dimension for the definition of a social and cultural
European identity. Moderator will be Beral Madra, Curator, Art Critic.
Among the speakers: Pelin Basaran, Culture Manager, Garaj Istanbul;
Nermin Saybasili, Art Historian and art critic, MGSÜ; Can Baydarol,
EU Expert, EU-Turkey Foundation; Ömer Kanipak, Architect, Arkitera;
Vittorio Urbani, Curator, Nuova Icona; Marta Tolomelli, responsible
for Love Difference artistic projects at Cittadellarte - Fondazione
