“Do you Nomi”? A group exhibition celebrating the art of Klaus Nomi, opening in Milan, 25 September
Res Pira Lab and Galleria Aus18 celebrate Klaus Nomi in an exhibition opening on September 25, 2007 at Galleria Aus18 (Milan). The artistic event, curated by Giovanni Cervi for Res Pira Lab, is the continuatuon of the celebration started with the tribute party held in Parma on the 24th of April, and that will result with the events in Berlin in 2008. The project involved some 50 international artists so far. On this occasion, a wide ranging group of artists will be involved: Alessandro Giordani, Andy, Arianna Carossa, Japi Honoo, Karin Andersen, Maile Colbert, Squp, Stuart Semple, Zaelia Bishop e, dalla berlinese Strychnin Gallery, Alexander Sterzel, Ansgar Noeth, Chris von Steiner , Danielle de Picciotto.
The tribute to Klaus Nomi results from the need to remember a unique figure, a master of scene handling and a sharp performer, a ham came from future always concerned with his interpretations, an artist creating a brand new way to develop the show, shaking the imagination of his disciples, who continue his style, not only in music.
The exhibition will be open until October 26.
