Love Difference in Matera: exhibition
and inter-disciplinary workshop at SoutHeritage Foundation, from the
4th of June
SoutHeritage Foundation regards Michelangelo
Pistoletto’s idea of responsible social transformation through
the exhibition Michelangelo Pistoletto - Love Difference,
organised in collaboration with Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto,
Love Difference and the contribution of Diego Paccagnella, with the
support of the Town and the District of Matera. The exhibition will
open on Saturday the 4th of June at 6 p.m.; among the others, three
projects: Love Difference Tour, an investigation over the
migration streams carried on a sailing boat, retracing the main migration
routes; The Mediterranean in your city, a documentary film,
realised for the 50th Venice Biennale, in which 23 persons from 23
different countries are interviewed on the concept of “loving
differences”; Bledi in progress, series of video projects
intended to a platform of dialogue on social and political issues
in contemporary Algeria. The exhibition project will be supported
by a workshop (dates to be confirmed) intended for the production
of a participated project, developed as a creative, inter-disciplinary
process, whose distinctive feature is a broad participation.
The process will involve different cultural, social and economical
actors, with a specific attention for the young, representing the
main target of the workshop. The event in Matera is the first step
of the joint program of Cittadellarte and SoutHeritage Foundation
in Basilicata. It is one of the activities carried out by Love Difference
in the Mediterranean Area, aiming to widen its network and set up
new forms of collaboration through artistic projects, for a responsible
sovial transformation.
