A sail for Emergency at 2x500 regatta in the Adriatic Sea. The project to be presented on the 17th of June at Porto Santa Margherita - Venice
The project “A sail for Peace, a sail for Emergency” will be presented on Friday, the 17th of June at 5 p.m. at Palacinquecento in Porto Santa Margherita (Venice). The occasion is the participation of the MiniTransat boat at the 2x500 regatta in the Adriatic Sea, from19-26 June 2005. The project will be introduced by Giovanni Monforte, Emergency group Città del Piave, Raul Pantaleo, logistic co-ordinator for Emergency in Sudan, Alberto Sonino, Tiziano Rossetti, Claudio Gardossi, creators of the project “A sail for Peace, a sail for Emergency”.
The project, promoted by Love Difference, aims to involve the sail world in activities promoting peace culture and supporting the NGO Emergency and its humanitarian activities in conflict zones. A major aim of the sail boat project is that of involving the specific sector of competitive open sea regattas, where the human factor, as well as the strict relation with nature and sea, is a major issues. >>>
