Working for the coffee-break: submission deadline on the 31st of January 2005 for the international competition of illycaffè and Domus. At the 2004 Salone del Mobile Domus magazine and illycaffè have presented the international competition “Espresso - space/time of coffee” aimed at students and young project designers, artists, architects and designers from all over the world under the age of 35. The competition seeks to discover new ways of enjoying an espresso-coffee and it is meant as an opportunity to discuss the presence of "Break-spaces and dialogue" in modern urban life. The most innovated idea or project, placed by January 31st 2005, that is able to express a model of a café, based on the ritual of coffee, as a place of understanding, discovery and for new encounters, will be awarded the prize. Team may participate in the competition so long as there is a team-leader who is responsible for the design. Participants are expected to treat the counter and the espresso-coffee machine as essential parts of their proposals; illycaffè identified five types of coffee location based on the importance of the provision of coffee, that are offered as references for the preparation of proposals, not as a stricyt classification or indication for projects. www.domusweb.it Lavorare per la pausa caffè: scade il 31 gennaio 2005 il concorso di idee voluto da illycaffè e Domus. >>>
