Terra Futura: April 8-10 in Florence, an international meeting on sustainable practices and “common goods”
Changing rules to grant a future to earth: this will be the main issue at the second edition of Terra Futura, international conference/show on “good practices” of sustainability, which will take place in Florence from 8 to 10 April. The meeting is organized to present and promote all the initiatives that test and use sustainable social, consumption, production, finance and trade relational models and networks.
Kyoto Protocol has just been started, and a few months have passed since the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre: this second edition of Terra Futura will focus on the “common goods”, such as air, water, security, for which Nobel prize awarded Paul A. Samuelson introduced the principle of non-competition and non-exclusivity. However, peace, personal dignity, respect for human rights, are to be considered “common goods” as well. Terra Futura will focus the debate on those public and private practices, which already contributeto safeguarding and regenerating the common goods.
