in residence on art practice for social transformation. |

STRUCTURE OF THE WORKSHOP The workshop aims to furnish the participants with the experience of working in a group through the valorisation of individual creativity directed towards collective planning. The workshop will develop through a first phase of 80 hours of lectures and exercises given by tutors and professors who are experts in good practices of shared planning for social change at Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto. Through a learning by doing formative module, the workshop aims to plan a responsive action to be realised in Alexandria during the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. The group will elaborate a project, aiming to engage the participants of the Alexandria Biennale and the citizens of Alexandria in the themes of art for social change, through meetings, actions and presentations. During the workshop the following issues will be addressed: The social role of the artist Art for Social Transformation Intercultural dialogue Migration and Immigration Methodologies for realising projects of social impact Free Knowledge, web 2.0 and new technologies for the sharing of knowledge Sustainable systems of management and development of cultural projects The objective of the workshop is to prepare the participants, once re-immersed into their own countries, to attain skills and tools in order to realise artistic projects of social use. At the end of this experience, the participants will be invited to become active agents of a euro-mediterranean network for the responsible transformation of society. For the workshop, given in English, have been selected select 19 young creatives who will participate in the Alexandria Biennale and are interested in exploring the relationship between creativity and social responsibility. |
