Practices for Intercultural Dialogue
July 31st - August 1st 2008, Cittadellarte-Fondazione
Pistoletto, Biella
Within the project Art for Social Responsible Transformation and Intercultural Dialogue in Europe (astide.eu)
Cultural Identity. What are we talking
about?
How can creativity contribute to develop the relations between cultures?
This workshop is an occasion to compare how we experience the relation with
cultural identity and with the stranger, with the difference
Experts who work within the cultural mediation
field, communication and art for social transformation make a presentation
of the projects for a dialogue between cultures.
The workshop’s participants are invited to develop a shared vision
about this topic and to define the indicators and to apply them on the presented
best practices.
Objectives:
:: compare with the participants how they individually
and within the group live their relation with cultural identity and with
the strange, the difference.
:: analyze through a critical discussion the projects addressed
to a dialogue between cultures.
The workshop’s participants are going to be provided
with the experience of a group work through the valorization of the creativity
of a single one applied to the sharing of abilities and knowledge.
The workshop is coordinated by Filippo Fabbrica and Sonja
