Pouf was an experience addressed to “the other”, individual citizen, group or institutional subject that believes in the sharing of knowledge as the basic element for social and cultural growth. The knowledge of oneself through the exchange with others is what allows us to overcome prejudices and current diseases such as depression and loneliness. A common space that generates wellness develops from responsibilities and the exchange of knowledge.
Love Difference proposed to create, along with the citizens, a welcome area at Ginestra. In collaboration with artists that use participatory methods, we structured a workshop to literally create comfortable poufs for Fabbrica Ginestra visitors, public and staff. We used scrap materials collected from local industries, production and from garrets.
Participants of the workshop experienced different techniques of re-usage and co-creation with learning-by-doing methods proposed by invited artists. The activity lasted three months, every Thursday it was time to create and learn how to apply easy techniques and how to use simple tools, and in the time of creativity, people shared impressions, ideas and thoughts. The over 45 poufs realized were a generous gift to Ginestra and its future guests of the workshop participants.
Fabbrica Ginestra is an incubator of creative activities connected with the territory, a promoter of knowledge, a place to experiment with participatory processes, an organization of production of ideas, art and culture, composed of a multidisciplinary network of subjects.
