 Bologna, again: the
Furla Prize, Istanbul Biennial, IdeARTeAmong the number of events linked to the Art Fair in Bologna, we would like to point out some of them. At Villa delle Rose, one of locations of the Modern Art Gallery, the exhibition of the Furla Art Prize, 2005 edition. The Furla Prize for young Italian artists is a collaboration between Furla and the Querini Stampalia Foundation. For the first time, the Modern Art Gallery in Bologna will host the exhibition “Follow Your Shadow”, curated by Chiara Bertola in collaboration with Dede Auregli, exhibiting the works by the selected artists. Open from the 29th of January to the 3rd of April 2005. “IdeARTe per la Manifattura” is a competition of ideas, launched by the Modern Art Gallery of Bologna, on the subject of Public Art. the event is intended to promote young creativity, to realise a work of public art for the Gallery’s new open space at the Manifattura delle Arti. From January 27 to March 27, works by seven invited artists will be exhibited in the Open Space of the Gallery. Curator is Dede Auregli. Finally, Sunday 30th January, at the “Open Art” space in the International Art Fair in Bologna, a conference by Vasif Kortun and Charles Esche, curators of the Istanbul Biennial (see also LDN#7). www.artefiera.bolognafiere.it www.galleriadartemoderna.bo.it
